How to Keep the PC UP and Running
The Personal Computer is a very important part of our life now days. It is very important to keep the PC in up and running condition. Most of the Personal Computers are installed with Microsoft’s Windows operating systems. Here are few tips to keep the PC in running conditions:1. Keep the Windows Updated:- If the PC is installed with Microsoft’s windows then go to the My Computer’s properties and activate the Windows Update service. This will start the Windows update service and will contact to the Microsoft’s website and will download the latest updates as per the requirements of the Operating system. The Windows Update service will keep the track of the updates of the PC. It helps in removing the bugs from the Windows. This service will automatically install the latest service packs of the operating system.
2. Keep the Registry Clean: Keep the track of the installed programs. Do not install the malicious programs in the PC because at the time of installation it will not show any errors, but one it is installed then it will affect the registry of the computer. There are certain programs from Microsoft which can clean the registry without harming the PC.
3. Keep the system Clean: As we use the computer everyday, while working always some data get copied in the temporary folders, do not forget to clean these folders. Some temporary data stays in the TEMP folder and user specific data resides in the User local settings/Temporary files . Always delete the Cookie files from the Internet Explorer History as they can contain virus and they can send some confidential data to Internet.
4.Antivirus Installation: Once the initial setup of the computer is complete, after logging in install a antivirus software immediately and keep it updated. It is very important to have a antivirus protection because we browse the internet which is full of viruses. Antivirus can help us from the Virus attacks. If you need to download some file then scan it with the antivirus program before saving.
5. Internet . While browsing the internet do not open the malicious links because theu can have virus and spyware in them. Never install a program directly from web. Try to get some antispyware program instlled on the computer.
6. Dont Share Passwords: Never share the confidential information with anybody, and specially on internet. While choosing your passwords be carefull and choose passwords that contains the special characters and are easy to remember but hard to break.
